The use of /switch and /qbind Empty The use of /switch and /qbind

Post by Booga Tue Feb 10, 2015 3:08 am

Greetings everyone,

It was asked in Guild Chat about the use of the /switch and /qbind functions and how they can improve game play for certain character's. I gave a pretty good explanation in guild chat to those who had a question about them but i figured i had better place it here for everyone to see so i dont have to explain it in guild chat again because it looked horrible.

First up /switch

/switch is very usefull slash command in which allows you to switch weapons in an instant! However please note when you do this you are removing yourself from combat and will have to reopen with a style in order to function properly when attacking. I have found this command quite useful on my Merc Boog. This command allows me to switch back and forth between shield and my left handed weapon quite often giving me a little bit more usefulness in the field. so use this command wisely, below is the correct syntax for /switch

/switch 1h <slot of bag>

/switch offhand <slot of bag>

/switch 2h <slot of bag>

/switch range <slot of bag>

Please note that it will switch to whatever slot of your first bag and first bag only it will not allow you to carry 20 weapons on you so please remember to keep it limited to 8.

/qbind is another very useful tool that when used in conjunction of other /slash commands or even abilities will greatly improve your playing ability

The correct syntax for /qbind is as follows

/qbind <qbar number 1-10> <qbar slot 1-10> (press enter to start the quick binding) (then press the key that you want the ability, /slash command, or whatever to be bound to)

Please be certain that you are you using a free key before you /qbind otherwise it will not work.

I am using a pair of 2.6 (haste proc)and 4.2 spd slash weapons. It is so hard to switch with shield

Playing Merc in pvp
Use 2.6spd and small shield
Slam em then switch left hand with 50 dual wield style untill haste proc
Switch a pair of 4.2 weapon
...
Sometime, I need reset inventory if i missed to press macro key
